Read the ArticleZig Zag Lake is a 7 mile long widening of the Jackfish River. The lake has very strong current flow and this allows for consistent action throughout the summer. The copious amounts of walleye feed some truly giant northern. A series of large rapids at the upper and lower ends of the lake make walleye fishing as close to automatic as possible anywhere!
The beauty of this lake is that due to its river like flow, it fishes very much like a large body of water. Big body of water means better chance for better numbers of trophy fish. A 200ft wide channel allow access to Crescent Lake. With an average depths of 15 ft, there are holes ranging from 60-170ft, depending on water levels.
Trophies of both species are caught and released here every season. Average walleye size is 18-20 inches and average pike size is 32 inches, with many over 40 inches.
