Terms & Conditions - Wilderness North

Celebrating 30 Years of Wilderness North  –          

All payments are non-refundable.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required within 2 weeks after making a reservation to confirm the booking. After 2 weeks, bookings without deposits will be considered cancelled.

Remaining trip balances, including additional pre order items (Bait, beverages, guide services, rentals etc.) must be paid in full, no later than 30 days prior to your departure date if paying by credit card. If paying by check, payment is required 45 days in advance of your assigned departure date. Wilderness North requires a credit card from each party member to remain on file for incidentals and/or final settlement. Final invoices will be sent 60 days prior. If final payment is not received by 30 days prior to trip date, card on file will be charged.

All prices are in USD. Prices and conditions are subject to change without notice.
We accept personal/business cheques or credit card (Visa, MC,).
If deposit has been received and reservation has been confirmed, all additional charges for individuals with past due accounts will be charged to the credit card we have on file.

We know that travel plans can change.
If you need to cancel for any reason, your deposit will remain secure until you’re ready to use it. Or if you can’t go, your deposit value is also transferable, so you can gift your deposit at no extra cost.
The value of the original deposit can be used as credit towards booking a new trip.

Credit can also be gifted to family or friends. To gift to family or friend you must email confirmation to Wilderness Northstating the nominated name. Gifting only valid within 5 calendar years of the original booking. (e.g. cancelled in 2014, valid on trips up to end of 2019). Deposit has no cash value and is non-refundable.

Wilderness North reserves the right to change or cancel your booking in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control.
Should change or cancellation prove necessary we will give you reasonable notice thereof, in the circumstances, and where available, offer you a comparable alternative.
If an alternative is not available or acceptable you will be entitled to transfer to another Wilderness North trip without payment of any transfer fee.
Wilderness North reserves the right to cancel, re-schedule or make other adjustments to any trip departure upon occurrence of a Force Majeure Event and in any other circumstances (including in accordance with operating requirements or other occurrences beyond its control). If a trip is cancelled by Wilderness North at anytime prior to its departure date (except for failure to pay the final balance on time), Wilderness North will offer, at its option, a comparable trip if available or a future travel credit (FTC) to the value of all moneys paid to Wilderness North for the trip.

Wilderness North will not be liable for cancellation, delay, re-scheduling or other adjustment or impact to a departure or itinerary or any other aspect of the trip brought about by a Force Majeure Event or any other circumstance (including in accordance with operating requirements or other occurrences beyond its control) that prevents or interferes with any aspect of the trip (including governmental and administrative actions), nor will Wilderness North be liable for any cancellation or change cost or penalties incurred on other travel arrangements, including air travel, that may be affected thereby.
Force Majeure Event means any event or circumstance beyond the control
of Wilderness North, including but not limited to: (a) an act of god (such as earthquake, flood, fire, explosion, landslide, lightning, action of the elements, force of
nature, washout, typhoon, hurricane, tsunami, storm or storm warning or natural disaster); (b) industrial disputes, work ban or other labour dispute or difficulty; (c) acts of terrorism, political unrest, war or threat of war, riots or civil strife; (d) closure of airports or ports; (e) pandemic, epidemic or health risk; (f) governmental and administrative actions (including closure of borders and travel warnings and restrictions).
Wilderness North not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations or rescheduling of any trip departure.

Responsibility Statement:

Wilderness North, its owners, and staff make every effort to satisfy our guests as they participate in remote wilderness adventures. We will however not assume responsibility or liability for any hazard of any kind associated with these trips. Nor are we obligated or responsible for any political, meteorological, family, climatic, mechanical, or other circumstances that may negatively impact your trip. We do not assume responsibility for the actions of transportation companies, contractors, or other parties, which Wilderness North may contract.

All angling and hunting will be carried out in a fair sporting manner, which does not imply or express any guarantee with regards to the harvesting of any game animal. All applicable guidelines/regulations set out by the MNR with respect to angling, hunting, and the use of firearms will be strictly obeyed. Disobeying these regulations is a criminal offence; offenders will be fined and/or prosecuted.

Wilderness North will make every effort to ensure our own flights and charter flights run on time, however, safety is paramount and flights may be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. Wilderness North will not be held responsible for missed or delayed flights due to weather.
