Days 1 - Arrival and Orientation

Your flight from McKenzie Lake base in an iconic bush plane (approx. 20 minutes and 70 km) will allow you to take in the scenes of endless waterways and lush forests below.Upon arrival at your resort-based cabin, located in the heart of the Northern Ontario wilderness, your complete Wilderness Resort experience begins with settling into your cabin with assistance from our staff. After orientation, there will be plenty of time to start exploring the waters by motorized boat, canoe, or kayak, or simply walk along the shoreline and see what wildlife you can spot.

Days 2-4 - Time for Peace of Mind and Exploring at Your Own Pace

A scenic float plane drop-off, two nights of exploring the west end of Whitewater Lake, a shoreline hiking trail, and plenty of opportunity to paddle: This self-guided canoe trip has it all. You’ll spend your first two nights at Whitewater Lodge in comfortable accommodations complete with 24-hour electricity, sand beach and sauna. From there, you’ll start heading east, paddling until you reach Ogoki Lodge to camp for your first night on the land.

With the next night on the land as well, you’ll spend the rest of your trip paddling, detouring for a shore lunch, and learning about the incredible history of the area, including a stop at Best Island to explore where Wendell Beckwith spent his days. For your final two nights, Striker’s Point Lodge will be your last destination, a full service lodge on the east end of the lake. Enjoy hot coffee delivery in the morning, spend the day on the many beaches in the area or wet a line. Finish your day with some cocktails and a hearty, made from scratch meal.

Day 5 - Departure

Enjoy one last leisurely breakfast and get ready for the return flight to McKenzie
