Our complete Wilderness Cabin packages include access to a motorized boat, canoeing and kayaking experiences, and a cozy remote cabin--imagine a lake all to yourself! Get creative in the kitchen and take advantage of other Wilderness Cabin activities including outdoor games, hiking, and late-night stargazing.

Wilderness North also offers local add-on craft beer and food packages, allowing you to get a taste of the true north.

Day 1 - Arrival and Orientation

Your flight from McKenzie Lake Seaplane base in an iconic bush plane (approx. 45 minutes and 87km as the crow flies) will allow you to take in the scenes of endless waterways and lush forests below. Settle into your cabin located in the heart of the Northern Ontario wilderness with assistance from our staff. Take your time getting familiar with your wilderness surroundings. Over the next couple days there will be plenty of time to start exploring the waters by motorized boat, canoe, or kayak, or simply walk along the shoreline and see what wildlife you can spot.

Days 2-4 - Time for Peace of Mind and Exploring at Your Own Pace

The days are your own to enjoy however you see fit. Take a canoe out for a leisurely paddle, wander along the shoreline in search of wildlife or swim in the pristine waters.
