Healing on The Albany 2016 - Wilderness North

Celebrating 30 Years of Wilderness North  –

Healing on The Albany 2016

Project Healing Waters – a worldwide non-profit organization – gives us the chance to open the doors to our planes and lodges, and provide the boats, motors, meals, and beds so they may receive- for a little while – the peace of the boreal forest of Northwestern Ontario.

John Swanson is an avid fly angler and wounded vet, like the other dozen guys (and one service dog) that visited this past summer. Project Healing Waters is an organization that teaches fly angling and tying, and offers wounded vets the chance to relax and refresh while they learn and heal.  It’s our eighth year in welcoming American and Canadian soldiers to the peace and quiet of the Boreal Forest. John tells us more in his interview in this month’s podcast.
