Fishing Report from Wilderness North's Zig Zag Outpost

Celebrating 30 Years of Wilderness North  â€“

Big Pike at Zig Zag

Tom of Bay City, Michigan arrived prepared for an adventure; Layers of clothing, rain suits, and a good attitude. After all, he and his group are pros and have been coming north of the border for over twenty years. For the first time they decided to visit our ZigZag Lake outpost cabin. And like most of those who make the trip for the first time, he, and all five in his group, especially Marty of Midland, Michigan, were quite impressed.

That’s Marty holding the big Master Angler Pike in the header photo above… and, despite the rain and the wind, the group had a great trip. The photo is of one of two trophy pikes for Marty, and was caught on 8# test line at the end of a 15 minute battle. In the podcast, Marty talks about landing the big girl, and walking over to Moule Lake to try some shore fishing. Click here to listen.

And – again this week – true to form…Zig Zag lives up to its legendary reputation as a great fishery.
