In case you haven’t heard, aside from an abundance of snow covering everything in a blanket of fluffy white, winter is definitely in full swing here at Wilderness North! The days are shorter, the water around the dock freezes during the cooler nights, our calendars have been sent to the publisher, and little touches of Christmas can be seen throughout the office. Thanks to those of you who have already expressed your well wishes for the holidays and new year.
As we move into another season and a new year, I realized that we have never formally introduced Meryl on the e-newsletter. As many of you may know, Meryl Carroll, our resident Newfoundlander who managed Makokibatan lodge for us for several years, is now working beside Krista as part of our trip planning team. Meryl will be making her debut this week with the first installment of Guess dat Newfie word, B’y! – A fun way for our readers to interact with us and win some cool Wilderness North swag, best of luck to all participants.
Another change coming this year is the reintroduction of Tyler Lancaster. Some of our long time guests may remember Tyler and the wealth of knowledge and expereince he brings to the fishing world. We are excitied to announce that Tyler will be back at Wilderness North and willing to share with our guests as both a writer for our e-newsletters and as one of the main guides during the summer. Stay tuned for his first installment in Words from the Wilderness coming in the new year.
As always, it’s great to hear from you!
Sincerely,
Alan Cheeseman
