The Magic of Makok! - Wilderness North

Celebrating 30 Years of Wilderness North  –

The Magic of Makok!

The Albany River river in Northern Ontario flows northeast from Lake St. Joseph in Northwestern Ontario and empties into James Bay. It is 982 kilometres (610 mi) long  – the longest river in Ontario.

Makokibatan Lake is located within the Albany River Provinical Park, northeast of Lake Nipigon and east of Wabakimi Provincial Park. In fact, it’s essentially a widening of the river.

Wilderness North offers two facilities on the river, with Makokibatan Lodge being the most eastern, and most renowned for trophy walleye angling.

In today’s podcast, we visit with a guest from the U.S. –  Craig Martin who combines a family reunion and an outdoor adventure at our full service lodge.
