We have to go back to 1992 to find a summer cooler than the one just experienced in northern Ontario. Perhaps it was a misplaced summer and it begins now.
Today’s temperatures will be similar to yesterday when highs of 75 to 80 F were common in areas around Armstrong to north of Miminiska, Ontario. The outlook for the next week is for considerable sunshine and summer-like temperatures.
Are showers banned? Probably not, but any rainfall on the weekend will be light and brief in duration.
Will it really be summer persisting through the fall season? Probably not, although warmer than seasonal temperatures are likely to stay with us at least into mid-September.
