World class brook trout, master angler pike and trophy walleye - all on fly

Brook Trout

Trophy fishery

The tributaries of the Albany river are home to some of the most aggressive and unpressured brook trout in the world. This fishery is world class with the average fish weighing 2-3 lbs. It’s not uncommon to do battle with brook trout in the 6-8 pound range. The best part? They are extremely fly friendly!

Northern Pike

Top-water excitement

The pike at Miminiska are fish of legend. Extremely aggressive and violent, northern pike are voracious adversaries on fly. With the lodge record taping out at 53 inches, there are numerous master angler fish released each season. These fish may not see flies for multiple seasons, so with nearly zero pressure on the fishery, northern pike are a thrill on fly at Miminiska.

Walleye

Making the impossible, possible.

At Wilderness North, walleye on fly is a reality, not just a bucket list fish! Schooling fish allow all-day action all season long, while trophy fish are released back to the deep each year. Come prepared to cover the water column to see the successes of targeting and catching walleye on a fly.
