“All of the information, tools and effort in the world can’t produce results without healthy fisheries. With finite fisheries and ever-increasing pressure on them, proper fish handling and management become more of a necessity. As anglers who want to be able to continue to enjoy time on the water, and hope that our friends, family and offspring do too, we really need to consider the proper handling of fish intended for release as seriously as we do the planning and “tricks” to trick ’em into biting.
The topic of healthy fisheries isn’t real gripping stuff – but it should be, since nothing results in more fish-catching than healthy waters with many fishes.”
