Dan was born and raised in Fort Frances, ON. He grew up on Rainy Lake watching beavers, otters and twin beeches taking off and landing and from a young age wanted to be bush pilot. He moved to Sault Ste. Marie in high school. His love of music and raw talent, won him battle of the bands at Bon Soo winter carnival. His first job out of school was with Northway flying to the Manitoba First Nation communities. He moved on to flying medevac in a king air for a year and moved swiftly to then Bearskin where he stayed for 9 years as health and safety officer and training captain. In 2017, he started with our team and can be found training on the air tractor, filming some media or creating some masterpieces in his woodshed. A talented woodworker, he made the Petawanga Portage sign and our fly box at Mim last year!
