Deep in the heart of the Northern Ontario wilderness lies an oasis for outdoor enthusiasts and anglers seeking a definitive Canadian adventure. Accessible only by floatplane, Wilderness North offers a haven for those who want to reconnect with nature and experience some of the best adventures that Ontario has to offers. Welcome to Wilderness North.
Our roots go back 60 years, starting with our love of conservation angling. Anglers were some of the first adventure travellers, heading off into the wilderness in search of the next trophy pike with little more than their backpack and fishing rod. Since these early days, more and more travellers are seeking out the wilderness. Our goal is to connect our guests with a true Northern Ontario experience, while remaining loyal to our angling roots. With fishing expeditions, kayaking, canoeing, birding, and an area rich in Anishinaabe heritage, we have activities available for all types of outdoor enthusiasts.
Located north of Thunder Bay, in Northwestern Ontario, we have outposts and lodges on more than fifteen lakes within the Ogoki and Albany River watersheds, all easily accessible with our dedicated fleet of floatplanes. With daily flights to Thunder Bay from Chicago, Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary and Winnipeg, Wilderness North has become one of Canada’s premier fly-in adventure destinations. Whether you are looking to hook your next walleye in the solitude of the great outdoors, or head out into the Ontario wilderness for the first time, there is an adventure at Wilderness North for you.
